The Nunchi Workshop

Join us for our ongoing workshop series where we emphasize creating an inclusive space for minority students to discuss diversity, equity, and mental health.

What is it?

The Nunchi Workshop is an interactive discussion group for students of minority identity, background, or heritage. Students discuss a mental health theme related to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Format

Each Nunchi Workshop meets virtually for a 1.5-hour workshop. Each group will have 6-7 enrolled college students.

Past Workshops

All times are listed in EST.

  • 1/30: Anti-Muslim and Anti-Arab Hate on Campus, 8 pm - 9:30 pm

  • 2/5 The Immigrant Stress and Minority Myth, 8pm - 9:30pm

  • 2/8: Asian American Mental Health, 8 pm - 9:30 pm

  • 2/11: DACA and Dreamers, 8 pm - 9:30 pm

  • Applicants must be:

    • Currently enrolled in a college program,

    • Above age 13 and below age 30 as of September 1, 2023,

  • Our goal is for participants to build a community to learn about our mental health and brainstorm ways to give back to our community. We are an interactive educational curriculum focused on mindfulness and community action.
