Who We Are
Nunchi Health was founded in 2022 to address the need for a safe healing space for students of immigrant background or heritage. We came together to learn about our community’s needs and became committed to advancing mental health access. Since then, we have evolved to become a collective of healthcare professionals, students, humans dedicated to mental health equity and community building.
What We Do
Our programs give young persons a community of support as they navigate the challenges of school and transition periods. We provide students with a safe space to reflect and problem-solve, tell their stories authentically, and a community where they can find support and belonging. We particularly focus on students of immigrant origin or background. Our programs are completely free for all students.
Who We Serve
One in five persons living in the U.S. has a treatable mental health disorder. Among them, minority communities and young people receive inferior care and less care. Our communities face unique life challenges, including but not limited to minority stress, stigma, intergenerational conflicts or trauma, an intense pressure to succeed, and more.
Advancing mental health access and community resoures, we offer programs for high school, college, and graduate students. We focus primarily on students with an immigrant background or a minority identity.
